Augsburg 1-4 Bayern Munich: Bayern crowned Bundesliga title for sixth straight season

Bayern Munich were confirmed as Bundesliga champions for the sixth consecutive season on Saturday after a 4-1 win over Augsburg.
Bayern were crowned German league champions for the 28th time in their history, and it was also the sixth year in a row they have won the Bundesliga since their treble-winning season in 2013.
After thrashing Borussia Dortmund 6-0 last weekend, the champagne was on ice - and Bayern recovered from conceding a bizarre early goal to wrap up the championship in style at the WWK Arena.
Augsburg took a shock lead through an own goal by Niklas Suele, but Bayern roared back as Corentin Tolisso, James, who then assisted Arjen Robben, and Sandro Wagner all scored.
Bayern, who have 72 points from 29 games, moved 20 ahead of Schalke 04, who have six games to play including Saturday evening's visit to lowly Hamburg SV.
The victory marks a fine personal achievement for Bayern's 72-year-old coach Jupp Heynckes, who came out of retirement in October to replace Carlo Ancelotti for his fourth stint at the club with the team five points off the pace.
It was Heynckes's fourth Bundesliga title as coach, all with Bayern.
Elsewhere, Wolfsburg pulled two points clear of Mainz with a 2-0 win at Freiburg, Daniel Didavi with both goals in the second and 83rd minutes.
Borussia Monchengladbach came from behind to beat Hertha Berlin 2-1.
Salomon Kalou gave Hertha the lead five minutes before half-time and they held on until the 75th minute, only for Thorgan Hazard to first equalise before winning the match from a penalty.

When is the Europa League draw? UK start time, how to follow online, TV channel, every club in the semi-finals

They won’t take anything for granted but  Arsenal  can be fairly optimistic that they will be in the hat for the Europa League semi-finals draw on Friday. A 4-1 home win against CSKA Moscow in the quarter-final first leg means it would take a remarkable performance by the Russian giants on their home ground to stop Arsene Wenger’s side reaching a first European semi-final since 2009. The Arsenal boss described the Europa League as tougher this season than it has ever been before and the semi-final draw could pit the Gunners against one of their most fearsome opponents yet, with Atletico Madrid, RB Lepzig and Lazio currently on course to join them.
