Nice coach Lucien Favre is on Arsenal's shortlist to replace current manager Arsene Wenger at the end of the season. The 60-year-old has won the Swiss Super League with Zurich and two domestic cups in a 25-year career which has seen him manage in Switzerland, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1. (L'Equipe)
Manchester United have begun talks to bring Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibe to Old Trafford. The 25-year-old France international was one of the few stars of last season's title triumph who did not leave the principality club. (Le10Sport)
Spain
Real Madrid are desperate to make Liverpool forward Mo Salah their Galactico signing this summer. President Florentino Perez is readying an offer for the Egyptian worth £50m plus out-of-favour midfielder Isco, who had been linked with the Reds previously. (Diario Gol)
Unconvinced by the performances of back-up left-back Lucas Digne, Barcelona have made Manchester United's forgotten man Luke Shaw their primary target. The England international has had a series of high-profile issues with United boss Jose Mourinho this season and wants to leave the Premier League side, according to reports. (Don Balon)
Barcelona flop Andre Gomes has asked to leave the Nou Camp after emerging as a Juventus transfer target. The Portugal international, 24, joined from Valencia two summers ago but has failed to command a regular spot in Barca's midfield. (Mundo Deportivo)
Real had hoped to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can to replace Luka Modric in midfield next season. But they have given up on the Germany international who they expect to join Juventus on a free transfer when his contract expires. (Don Balon)
Italy
Former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is expected to become the new coach of Italy. He will resign as Zenit St Petersburg boss at the end of the Russian season before, finally, succeeding Gian Piero Ventura who was sacked after failing to reach the World Cup. Already the former Premier League winner is considering a recall for Mario Balotelli, his former charge at City, who has impressed again at Nice this year. (Gazzetta dello Sport) 
Juventus coach Max Allegri is reluctant to discuss his future with the club. The former Milan boss came in for criticism after Juve's Champions League defeat to Arsenal on Tuesday night but is under contract until 2020. "I have a contract and I'm happy to be here, it's a question of stimulation," he said. "At this moment the future is something I do not think about, I think only of the present that is made up of championship, Champions League and Coppa Italia." (Gazzetta dello Sport)
Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has quashed suggestions Juventus forward Paulo Dybala is an Atletico Madrid transfer target by admitting he has "only seen him play once". (Calciomercato) 
Arsenal have lost out to Inter in the race to sign goalkeeper Andrey Lunin from Zorya Luhansk. The 19-year-old stopper was reportedly an Arsenal transfer target but the Italian giants have bagged the Ukraine international. (Gazzetta dello Sport)
Juventus have turned to Bayern Munich left-back Juan Bernat as a replacement for Alex Sandro, if the one-time Chelsea transfer target leaves Turin this summer. Paris Saint-Germain are keen on the Brazilian. (Tuttosport)
Germany
Former Bayern Munich boss Ottmar Hitzfeld says the Bavarians did not want Thomas Tuchel to succeed Jupp Heynckes "at any price". The former Borussia Dortmund coach, who has been out of work since last summer, looks set to become Paris Saint-Germain coach when Unai Emery is sacked. (SportBild)
Portugal
Arsenal are keeping tabs on young Benfica midfielder Joao Felix. The 18-year-old has a £52m release clause written into his contract but the Gunners could get him for around £35m. (O Jogo)

Manchester City win the Community Shield 2018 as Sergio Aguero sinks Chelsea in 2-0 Wembley win

It was meant to be an afternoon where  Maurizio Sarri  could show that Chelsea had significantly progressed from the Antonio Conte side which was embarrassed at  Manchester City  in March, but it was not to be. Zidane: “We will not give Barcelona a guard of honour”

Real Madrid  coach  Zinedine Zidane  revealed that his team will not give  Barcelona  a traditional guard of honour if the two teams meet right after Barcelona become La Liga Champions. “We will not give a guard of honour, this is my decision,” said Zidane when asked about the matter. “Barcelona didn’t follow the tradition when we won the Club World Cup. This is my decision,” he added. Zidane is clearly stating that this is not something decided by the club in order to protect Real Madrid from potential criticism. Barcelona gave Real Madrid a guard of honour back in 2008 but they said that they would not do the same thing this past winter when Madrid conquered the Club World Cup. Nobody knows whether Los Blancos will finally face Barcelona under the circumstances which could make Madrid give said guard of honour, but it’s now clear that Zidane and his men will not hear anything about it.
